2007 Photo Contest Awards Ceremony!
On Sunday, January 6, The Friends of Wildwood Lake held their 3rd Annual Awards Ceremony to announce the winners of their 2007 Photo Contest. Numerous participants (both student photographers and amateur photographers) along with friends, family and interested persons joined members of the Photography Committee and board members for the announcement of the winners.
Photographs have been collected throughout the year to depict this year's theme "The Seasons of Wildwood in its 100th Anniversary." Winning photographers were selected by the panel of expert photographic professionals including Madeline Gray, Raymond Gehman, and Denny Bingaman. From approximately 90 submitted photographs, the judges selected first, second and third place winners both in the student and in the amateur categories. An additional four honorable mentions were also given in the amateur category. It was noted that the quality of all photographs was exceptional.
Winning entries were submitted by Richard Duncanson (2nd and 3rd Place - Student), Rachel Tomredle (1st Place - Student), George Shearer (3rd Place - Amateur), Ron Barrick (2nd Place - Amateur), and Howard Wert (1st Place - Amateur).
Honorable Mention, Amateur, was given to Larry Usselman, Mark Fulton, and Bryan Erb.
All photographs will be on display through Saturday, January 12. Winning entries will be on display in the Nature Center throughout the year.
