Two Capital Projects are planned for Wildwood – Streambank Stabilization and Trail Reconstruction.
Streambank Stabilization
Thanks to a grant from the PA Department of Environmental Protection, a 600 foot section of Paxton Creek’s streambank will be improved. The project will re-grade and maintain eroding streambank sections, restore natural stream flow, stabilize the Paxton Creek Bridge foundation, and decrease sediment flowing into Wildwood Lake.
Construction will take place August 1st – August 31st

- This project will impact existing riparian trees. The final stage includes an aggressive planting plan to address removed trees and shrubs.
Streambank Stabilization Site Map
Trail Reconstruction
Thanks to a grant from the PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources and funding from Friends of Wildwood, a 900 foot section of Wildwood Way Trail will be reconstructed and repaved.
This work will occur from the Paxton Creek Bridge to the north, past the North Boardwalk Trailhead. The work includes the replacement of the nearby 100-foot raised boardwalk with an elevated trail section, storm water control measures, other macadam repairs, and regrading/paving the 50-foot entrance to the North Boardwalk for improved ADA access.
